The Internet has become a major platform for learning in higher education. Besides rich informational resources, however, the Internet offers an abundance of distractors that challenge students' attention. This study investigated university students' perceived attention state and use of regulatory strategies using the Online Learning Motivated Attention and Regulatory Strategies scale (OL-MARS). Participants were 230 undergraduate and graduate students recruited from two universities located in central and northern Taiwan. The exploratory factor analysis revealed four subscales in the OL-MARS, including perceived attention discontinuity, social media notification, behavioral strategies, and mental strategies. Results showed that mental and behavioral strategies were positively associated with criterion variables, including Internet self-efficacy, online search strategies, and final course grades, but negatively correlated with time spent on the Internet and social media. Whereas, perceived attention discontinuity and social media notification mostly had a modest correlational relationship with these validating variables in an opposite direction. Cluster analysis identified five types of profiles: the Motivated Strategic, the Unaware, the Hanging On, the Non-Responsive and the Self-Disciplined. Group membership exhibited mean differences in Internet self-efficacy, online search strategies, final course grades, and time spent on the Internet and social media. The study results validated the constructs in meta-attention for theory development, provided the OL-MARS scale as an effective meta-attention measurement tool to assess university students’ knowledge of attention and regulation of attention, and proposed the specific intervention and attention regulation training for each profile group.  相似文献

This paper is prepared in honour of Professor E.T. Brown for his outstanding contributions to rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering and also for his personal influence on the first author's research career in geomechanics and geotechnical engineering. As a result, we have picked a topic that reflects two key research areas in which Professor E.T. Brown has made seminal contributions over a long and distinguished career. These two areas are concerned with the application of the critical state concept to modelling geomaterials and the analysis of underground excavation or tunnelling in geomaterials.Partially due to Professor Brown's influence, the first author has also been conducting research in these two areas over many years. In particular, this paper aims to describe briefly the development of a unified critical state model for geomaterials together with an application to cavity contraction problems and tunnelling in soils.  相似文献

A new label-free in situ monitoring system for the hybridization chain reaction (HCR) based on DNA minor-groove-binding fluorophores [Hoechst 33258 (Hoe) or quinone cyanine-dithiazole (QCy-DT)] has been developed. Use of two unmodified hairpin oligodeoxyribonucleotides containing incomplete double-stranded AATT sequences enabled target-dependent formation of probe binding sites—that is, AATT double strand—in the HCR product, together with fluorescence enhancement of minor-groove-binding fluorophores in situ. This system allows target DNA to be detected through the fluorescence enhancement of Hoe and QCy-DT in real time and in situ. Further development of a label-free, isothermal detection system might provide a cost-effective and user-friendly method for nucleic acid detection.  相似文献

For solid oxide fuel cells, an important structural requirement is that the electrolyte layer needs to be dense and the electrode layer porous, which is difficult to obtain by conventional cosintering. In this work, flash cosintering of a double layer structure consisting of a Gd-doped ceria substrate with a lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite nanofibre coating is investigated. Experimental and finite element modelling results reveal that when the LSCF layer is connected to the electrode, the heat is concentrated in the LSCF layer, which leads to a huge temperature gradient and introduces severe cracking. When the LSCF layer is electrically isolated from the electrode, the heat is concentrated in the GDC layer, and the temperature gradient is dramatically reduced. In this situation, the density of GDC can reach 92.86% while a high porosity of 52.26% is maintained in the LSCF layer, which is higher than that of the conventional cosintered sample.  相似文献

We consider a two-sided sequence of bounded operators in a Banach space which are not necessarily injective and satisfy two properties (SVG) and (FI). The singular value gap (SVG) property says that two successive singular values of the cocycle at some index d admit a uniform exponential gap; the fast invertibility (FI) property says that the cocycle is uniformly invertible on the fastest d-dimensional direction. We prove the existence of a uniform equivariant splitting of the Banach space into a fast space of dimension d and a slow space of codimension d. We compute an explicit constant lower bound on the angle between these two spaces using solely the constants defining the properties (SVG) and (FI). We extend the results obtained by Bochi and Gourmelon in the finite-dimensional case for bijective operators and the results obtained by Blumenthal and Morris in the infinite dimensional case for injective norm-continuous cocycles, in the direction that the operators are not required to be globally injective, that no dynamical system is involved and no compactness of the underlying system or smoothness of the cocycle is required. Moreover we give quantitative estimates of the angle between the fast and slow spaces that are new even in the case of finite-dimensional bijective operators in Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

页岩油水平井储层段的井壁稳定至关重要,应用电镜扫描、X衍射、膨胀分散性实验及岩石力学测试等方法,对储层段泥岩矿物组构和理化性能进行了研究。结果表明,研究样品发育微裂隙,黏土含量高达62.24%,以伊利石为主,不含蒙脱石;呈现弱膨胀、弱分散、强亲油弱亲水的特征,在水基钻井液浸泡36 h后,抗压强度下降24.8%。基于以上研究,优化水基硅酸盐钻井液性能及配套措施,形成了页岩油水平井井壁稳定技术。东平1井水平段长625m,一趟钻顺利完钻。  相似文献

In this work, the development of a recommender system that aims to facilitate the indirect materials selection task for the creation of spare parts is proposed. In the industrial sector there are spare parts manufacturing companies, where there is a high rotation of staff and this leads to loss of knowledge as new users do not know what indirect materials they should select in the warehouse to create certain parts. The proposed system aims to integrate an indirect materials recommender system to assist this warehouse task. The proposed system is based on the non-personalized approach and similar order circumstances, to perform the recommendation process. From the evaluation of the proposed system, we could conclude that the indirect materials selection process for producing auto parts was improved.  相似文献

In this study, the PEGylated nanostructured lipid carriers (PEG-NLC) were constructed for the intravenous delivery of 17-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin (17AAG). 17AAG-PEG-NLC was successfully prepared by the method of emulsion evaporation at a high temperature and solidification at a low temperature using a mixture of glycerol monostearate and PEG2000-stearate as solid lipids, and medium-chain triglyceride as the liquid lipid. The results revealed that the morphology of the NLC was spheroidal. The particle size, zeta potential and entrapment efficiency for 17AAG-PEG-NLC were observed as 189.4?nm, ?20.2 mV and 83.42%, respectively. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that 17AAG existed as amorphous structures in the nanoparticles. In the in vitro release study, the 17AAG from 17AAG-PEG-NLC exhibited a biphasic release pattern with burst release initially and sustained release afterwards. In addition, 17AAG-PEG-NLC showed a significantly higher in vitro antitumor efficacy and longer retention time in vivo than 17AAG solution. These results indicated that 17AAG-PEG-NLC may offer a promising alternative to the current 17AAG formulations for the treatment of solid tumors.  相似文献

Context: Currently, there is an increasing interest of cosmetic industry on natural extracts. The inclusion of antioxidants in topical formulations can contribute to minimize oxidative stress in the skin, which has been associated with aging. Also, questions of sustainability are leading to the study of new cosmetic ingredients obtained from food by-products. Coffee Silverskin (CS) is a food by-product with established antioxidant activity that has not yet been incorporated into a topical formulation.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the physical and microbiological stabilities and antioxidant activity of a hand cream formulation containing 2.5% (w/w) of CS extract upon production and after 6 months of shelf-life and in vitro safety/cytotoxicity on skin cell lines after production.

Materials and methods: The in vitro cytotoxicity was evaluated with MTS and LDH assays, at different concentrations, in HaCaT and HFF-1 cells. Formulations were stored at 25?°C/65% RH and 40?°C/75% RH. Physical, microbiological, and antioxidant stabilities were evaluated by centrifugation, viscosity, total colony count, DPPH and total phenolic content (TPC).

Results: The hand cream containing 2.5% (w/w) of CS extract showed stable physical characteristics independently of the storage conditions. The DPPH activity and TPC of the CS formulation were significantly higher compared with those of the base formulation. However, during storage, the antioxidant activity decreases slightly. Microbiological quality was also confirmed. No cytotoxic effects were observed.

Conclusion: It is possible to suggest that this formulation is stable under extreme conditions and safe for topical use.  相似文献
